Finance and Membership Manager

Your financial experience will be instrumental in shaping Gymnastics Victoria’s future and supporting service delivery to more than 120 affiliated clubs, 64,000 members and the broader gymnastics community.  With a high emphasis on customer service (to both internal and external parties), this role provides financial management and club affiliation services to the organisation, as well as bringing exceptional communication skills in business analysis and reporting. 

The role requires an ongoing high level of attention to detail.

You will be accountable across all aspects of Finance and Member payments including:

  • Leadership of the GV budget and financial systems (Xero) and processes;
  • Leadership of the GV club affiliation payments and data processes;
  • Processing daily banking, accounts payable and receivable;
  • Maintaining the GV assets register including depreciation and amortisation;
  • Preparation and lodgement of PAYG, GST, FBT and Payroll tax documents;
  • Preparation of funding acquittals;
  • Processing Payroll, including PAYG, Super Guarantee, Fair Work Act compliance;
  • Preparing financial reports for the CEO, senior managers, Board, etc;
  • Preparing EOM and EOY financial reporting; and
  • Liaising with Auditors and key business partners as required

Candidates must have relevant experience; this is not limited to sporting or membership organisations however previous exposure to these areas would be advantageous.  An Australian CA/CPA qualification, while not essential, will be highly regarded.  Demonstrable experience in using Xero accounting will be to your advantage.

This role is full-time in a workplace that offers flexibility, and a competitive salary will be offered to suitably experienced candidates.
