Recently the WG National Junior Development Co-coordinator – Jo Richards visited Tasmania.  

 

Gymnasts from a High Performance development squad at the Hobart PCYC participated for the first time in the National IDEAL Skills testing.  Their coaches gained important technical information and the girls were given valuable feedback regarding their skills.

 

Jo spent a full day at the Tasmanian Congress talking about creating a sound technical base of gymnastics skills over the women’s apparatus and trampoline; along with the Talent Identification process.

 

The new Tasmanian State Gymnastics centre has been open for business for three weeks and the staff at the Kingborough Gymnastics Club were more than happy to show off their new facility – look out for great gymnastics to come out of Tasmania in the future!
