When will Event Session Times be available?
Gymnastics Victoria understands that families have busy weekend schedules and makes every effort to publish event dates and times as early as possible before an event. For most events, such details can only be made available after all competition entries have been processed and competition work orders have been approved by the relevant Technical Committee. As soon as the information has been approved it is published under the events calendar on the website. Event specific information can be viewed by selecting the appropriate event and browsing through the pop up window.
Why can’t Event Session Times be advertised when the event calendar is released?
Gymnastics Victoria would love to advertise all session times in advance to assist families with their busy schedules. For some events, where participant numbers are set, this is possible and does occur. However for most Gymnastics Victoria events participant numbers vary significantly and are unknown until after the event closing date. Gymnastics Victoria makes every effort to publish event dates and times as early as possible before the event.
Where can I find event results on the GV website?
Results from all GV events are published in the events calendar on the website. The results can be viewed by selecting the appropriate event and browsing through the pop up window. Archived results from previous years are available by selecting the ‘Archived Results’ tab in the ‘Events and Results’ menu. Archived results are organised by year and Gymsport.
When will the event results be published?
Gymnastics Victoria endeavors to publish results on the day of event or, where this is not possible, the first working day after the event. On occasion the publication of results may be delayed due to technical reasons.
Where can I find the Bulletin and how much does it cost?
The Bulletin is free to download from the website. The current month and previous month have their own links. News tab - Bulletin, then Current Bulletin or Previous Bulletin. Unfortuntately due to the size only 2 editions are able to be stored on our website.
Where is my closest gymnastics club?
On the GV Homepage and all subsequent pages, you will find a Club Search Function. This function allows you to enter your postcode and set a radius in kilometres for your search. You can also narrow your search by entering which gymsport program you are looking for.
When do I get paid for judging?
Twice a year – For all events and gymsports, payments are made in a single cheque (or direct credit to nominated bank account) and are paid as follows:
§ July for the period January - June
§ January for the period July - December
Please ensure your address details are correct in our National Database iMIS, as this is where your monies and information are sent to.
Gymnastics Victoria does not run parties itself, however a significant number of affiliated gymnastics clubs do run Birthday Parties at their facilities. These parties are a fantastic way for your child and their guests to enjoy and be stimulated by the sport of gymnastics. To find contact details of your local club please use the Club Search function on any GV web page.
What is 'Member to Member' Public Liability Cover?
Member to Member cover will protect the interests of individual members should an action be brought against them by another member.
Where can I purchase Gymnastics equipment?
Gymnastics Victoria does not sell equipment itself or have a preferred supplier. The following bigger organisations can help you with your enquiries.
