“Achieving Star 3 in Club 10 was a big challenge, but it was definitely worth it. We know that our club has all the policies and procedures it needs to run safely, and that our processes are all meeting national standards. The process made us think about things we'd previously overlooked, and helped us focus on planning for the future rather than just running from day to day. We have also learned to keep a 'Club 10 folder' full of all relevant documentation about our club, including newspaper articles, programmes and brochures, which has really helped us with grant applications and award nominations too”
“Club 10 is starting to achieve recognition in the general sports community, with people outside gymnastics realising that clubs with Star 3 and above are very well run, safe and professional. Getting up to speed with Club 10 can be a bit scary at first, but there is lots of help and support out there, both from GV and from other clubs and members of the gymnastic community. A number of doors have been opened for our club thanks to the contacts we made during the accreditation process, and we now try to act as a model and mentor for other clubs who need our support. Like all things in gymnastics, participating in Club 10 requires some effort and hard work, but the results are definitely worth it!”

“Since undertaking the club 10 project I believe our club has become a lot more professional in the way we operate. We have been able to create policies & procedures that enable us to present a much more professional program that attracts and helps us retain members. The project has also helped us set up strategies that will enable a new committee to continue to operate in the same manner should the current committee leave.”
“Also our coaches have become more aware of their roles & responsibilities as everything is set out for them to follow. We have also been able to establish better links with our regional neighbours which has developed into a regional practice comp being held here in May this year. Overall by using the Club 10 Guidelines we will hopefully continue to present a professional & friendly program so our club can continue to grow & develop.”

“We believe that the Club 10 program encourages our Club to adopt better more organised systems and structures, thus helping the club run more efficiently. It provides a safe and progressive environment for members to reach their potential. It also gives parents confidence when choosing a club for their children.”
