Victorians shine at Border Challenge Competition

Victorian gymnasts secured a range of medals at the recent Border Challenge Competition, held in Caloundra, Queensland in June.

The competition, featuring Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG), saw athletes take to the floor competing as part of the Victorian State Team.

Over two days of competition, athletes showcased their skills and quality routines, as well as their determination, dedication and team spirit.

In the MAG Competition, notable results included the Level 7 Team winning Gold in the Team competition, with the Level 6 Team taking the Bronze medal.

In the WAG Level 7 competition, Dakota McKinley secured a Silver medal in a very tight All Around competition, with only 0.001 separating herself and the Bronze medal.

With a total of 34 medals, including 13 Gold, 12 Silver and 9 Bronze, it was a fantastic effort by all athletes and coaches who were involved.
