2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships – Trampoline Gymnastics
The Australian Gymnastics Championships are taking place over two weeks from 20 May – 3 June. Over 1,500 athletes will compete in 6 different Gymsports over the two weeks of competition at Melbourne Arena. Top gymnasts from each state and territory will compete for the title of 2019 Australian Champion.
The 2019 Victorian State Team for Trampoline Gymnastics (TRP) includes 62 athletes from 5 different clubs from across the state. Trampoline gymnasts will represent Cheltenham Youth Club (CYC), Omega Trampoline Club, Maffra Gymnastics Club, Palmer’s Gymnastics and Wildcats Gymnastics.
Trampoline gymnasts will compete individually and in teams in Individual Trampoline, Synchronised Trampoline, Double Mini Trampoline and Tumbling.
The Trampoline Gymnastics competition will take place during the second week of the Australian Gymnastics Championships from 30 May – 3 June. The premium Trampoline sessions will be on Thursday 30 May, Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June and will feature competition from the Senior Male & Female Trampoline competition and State Team Trampoline, Double-Mini Trampoline and Tumbling.

Trampoline Athletes to Watch
Trampoline Gymnast Ryan Hatfield at the 2018 Australian Gymnastics Championships
There are a number of fantastic Trampoline gymnasts to keep an eye out for throughout the Australian Gymnastics Championships. Senior International Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline gymnast Ryan Hatfield (currently coached by David Wareham at Omega Trampoline Sports Club) will be looking to continue his medal streak after winning a Bronze Medal for Individual Double-Mini Trampoline at the competition last year, as well as helping to secure multiple Team Medals in the Individual, Synchronised and Double-Mini Trampoline competitions.
Junior International gymnast Sunday Hollingsworth (currently coached by Dani Robb at CYC Gymnastics) had an incredible year in 2018, securing a Silver medal in the Youth International Women’s Double-Mini Trampoline competition. She then qualified for the Trampoline World Age Games in St Petersburg where she placed 7th in the overall Double-Mini Trampoline competition.
Brock Batty (currently coached by Dani Robb at CYC Gymnastics) is a Youth International Trampoline gymnast competing in Individual Trampoline and Double-Mini Trampoline. Brock was the 2018 Men’s Youth International Trampoline Champion who is hoping to defend his title this year. Catch Brock in qualifiers on Thursday 30 May at 2pm.
Victorian International Stream Senior Tumbling gymnast Latisha Painter (currently coached by Emma Carmody at Palmer's Gym & Tumble Tots) will also be back again this year to defend her title as Tumbling champion! Watch Latisha in action on Thursday 30 May at 9am.
